Introduction of Symbiotes ( Venom , Carnage )
The Klyntar , originally and better known as the Symbiotes , are a species of symbiotic extraterrestrials created at the beginning of the universe by the deity Knull, who manifested the first symbiote from his shadow to slaughter the Celestials. When Knull attacked Earth using a symbiote dragon, he was defeated by Thor and his connection to the symbiotes was severed. Destabilized, the symbiotes sought out hosts to give their lives context and existence meaning. Symbiotes have the ability to sense the thoughts and emotions of sentient creatures, though to what extent remains unclear. The Venom symbiote was able to pattern itself after Spider-Man' s thought, and respond to his mental commands even without significant bonding. Symbiotes are genderless, usually reproduce asexually (though some symbiotes are hatched from eggs), and generally produce only one offspring in a lifetime.
